You should look into Corpus Christi, Tx area. Relatively inexpensive, excellent food, white powdered sandy beaches w/huge waves, and pretty warm weather Jan-Mar. Much much warmer than being way way up north like Galveston area. Padre Island just over the JFK bridge is nothing but beautiful sandy beach that goes on and on for hundreds of miles. Plus you drive your car/truck on the beach.
You'll definitely have Fun in the Sun. Rent a jet ski, surf board, or try kite surfing if you like being airborne. Or just work on your tan lines. Jan-Mar water temps are probably 70s or so.
If you're a clown like my hubby, he thought it would be funny to tell me that while he was body surfing his trunks just happened to slide off and land next to me. And I was about ten feet away from him! But then he noticed all the smaller fish, foot long or so, were jumping up and out of the water. Well he quickly realized they only jump up and out of the water when a Much Larger fish is about to eat them.
Ya you guessed it, he quickly went into a PANIC trying to reach me, well not me, his swimming trunks, since he realized he had this Little Piece of Bait Dangling between his legs. HahahaHehehe. I shoulda grabbed his trunks a B-lined for the shore. LOL......
Oh, one word of caution, do not turn your back towards incoming waves. If you don't know it's coming it will hit you like a Mac Truck. Man those waves are powerful. Knock you right on your butt.
