As far as I can tell, it is legit. It could be in reference to
the early 90s tanker leak where the first 80ft off the bow of the oil tanker Kirki broke off from a rogue wave off W. Australia. I love how the interviewer tried to keep a straight face throughout the interview but almost cracked halfway through.
