Look at the state of the compact/midsize sedan market. Everyone wants premium features for a bargain price. The formula to a successful product is to make it look more expensive than it really is. Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Equinox, all receive praise from consumers for looking expensive and offering premium features but still retaining Chevrolet pricing.
Y'all are still stuck in the old days where having to buy a compact meant a barebones interior with no brightwork on the exterior and a lame design that screams "I can't afford what I really want so I'm stuck driving this thing." That isn't the case anymore.
