I took into the dealer a few weeks ago and the shop foreman rode with me. I even let him drive it with me in the passenger seat. His assessment is it's normal powertrain gear noise. I know it's not normal and it's certainly not powertrain gear noise since it only occurs when the AC compressor is engaged. Pretty much a wasted trip.

Sad thing is this is supposed to be one of the better service dealerships for Corvettes here in Houston area, in fact they are the sponsor for the Corvette Owners Club of Houston and should be, at least in my opinion, more concerned about resolving this noise on the flagship sports car.

The noise is more pronounced now, especially when not in sport mode and the exhaust note is quieter, so I will be taking it in again with more pressure on dealership to address it. Hopefully I will have better luck. I'm sure I will get this resolved, I'm just not happy I have to be so persistent to drive the dealerships to recognize and fix it.
