So today is a great day i just paid off my 1LE. I will never forget when the new Camaros hit the street, i just absolutely loved it., At this time in life i had lost mt 25 year job, and was working construction at $13.00 Hr. I couldn't even afford trash pick up. I remember driving by a Chevy dealer early one morning and stopped and just took a look. I didn't know anything about the different models 2SS, 1SS 1LT, ETC. The sticker was $42,000.00 and i remember saying well, this will never happen.
Fast forward 4 years, knowing i could never afford a V8 (56 years old and have never had one) with a new job and my head above water i bought a 2011 1LTRS, and was happy. Then while at the dealer one day they told me about the 1LE and my life changed forever. I saw the pic on the brochure and was in love
Borrowed money from Mom pulled everything together i could and ordered my baby. I had recently joined Camaro5 and was able to track the build, train ride ETC. I was there for delivery. Since then i have been lucky enough to get two homepages here on C5, One for running Laguna Seca, i think i was the first to track the 1LE, and the other for the blistering performance of my stock 1LE at Fontana last year, and now she's paid for. This has been an experience of a lifetime, just had to share.
