I doubt it will be as impressive as the dinosaur zeta-platform-odds-defying monster the Z is though. Imagine what GM can do with the alpha platform then.

Base 49K GT350 is not going to outrun the Z/28 except probably in the straights. If the "base" GT350 is an all around better performer everywhere compared to the Z/28....it will pretty much be the best performance car in history ever...when you consider relative price to its competitors. B/c that would mean now you can buy a Porsche 911 GTS killer for 49K.

But the GT350 with track pack for around 57K might be able to put the Z/28 in its place. Maybe? That I can see.
The GT350R? Well...we should fully expect it to be faster than the Z/28. It is impressive that it should also do it for over 10K less (when comparing MSRP)
