While a cheap shot yes, perhaps some perspective. Ford's MOST expensive car starts at...$27,000. The Mustang starts at $23,800. Of course the Camaro starts at $23,700 but the SS sedan starts at $45,000 and the Corvette starts at $55,000. SS sedan is a one-off so irrelevant to this discussion but Chevrolet has been selling the Corvette in this premium bracket for 60 consecutive years. Sure Ford has sold a few GT40's in the 60's and early 2000's but most Ford owners wouldn't even know what the GT40 is. Ultimately the performance will speak for itself and resale value will hold up nicely since production numbers are relatively low. We live in an era of $60k+ pony cars lol
