Stock for stock, the SOTP feel for power was dead nuts, the handling, also very close ( not great by any argument for either one), BUT I took from that exchange that the Performance Pack on the mustang "should've" made it handle better IMO.
Then.....I drove the 1LE, and it was a no brainier, it was hands down a better handling ride than the Mustang and in the same price range.

You're clearly one of Al O's "2-percenters", for whom the 1LE was aimed directly at. I'm no different.
The PP was aimed at a wider audience than just you and me out of us plus the next 98 random ponycar buyers, so it was intentionally made to be a little 'softer' around the edges. I'm guessing it's a 20-percenter's car, which should slot it somewhere in the middle between an 'regular' SS and the 1LE.
drew - I can't imagine a car being as evil as you feel the S197 is, unless there was something not only wrong about a certain 2010 but that it went undiagnosed as well. Too bad there's this big pond between your location and my home track.
