I watched the fight as well and 95% of other people are just hating because everyone and their mother wanted to see mayweather lose. Mayweather has done the same thing this fight, as he's done on the other 47. But now all of a sudden Mayweather can't fight or box, or whatever excuse people want to give. Yes, Manny was the aggressive one, but throwing random punches and hitting air, gloves, or arms does not count. Mayweather was landing a lot of jabs that did count, because it hit manny's face or body.
And Mayweathers style of defensive fighting isn't the only person to fight like that. there are ways to attack a defensive fighter. It happens all the time, and the defensive fighter loses. Mayweather has just perfected it. The point of boxing is to hit and not get hit. Not stand there and just whale on each other. if you want that, you need to watch the heavyweight boxers, because they are too slow, or UFC. lol
The numbers don't lie. it would be very easy to rewatch the tape and count the punches. I'm sure it's already been done. There is no controversy.
