I think a few years time will merit much improvement over the current car, though maybe not a full redesign. The team needs time to get used to it, because...besides name, this car shares NOTHING with the 2002 Camaro that many of them worked so hard on.

1970-1981 is considered second generation. It was substantially different from the 1st gen cars. GM
could get a 6th gen out four years from now if they wanted to. But they'd have to make the commitment to lead, not follow.
