Such foolishness. How much time have you spent on racetracks? I've never gone to a racetrack and found nobody there! The fact is I have trouble even getting track time if I don't plan in advance. To so say "nobody races at the track" only underscores your lack of understanding.

Once again, if a 700hp Hellcat can go full throttle 0-1XXmph on public streets then a 500hp Z/28 can take a high speed sweeper or highway clover-leaf at speeds that would make a Challenger wet itself. It's that simple. Neither would be safe, legal or wise.

I think the difference in, SVTperformance and Challengertalk are far less accommodating to outsiders. Every forum I've ever participated in has fanboys. I think the leniency at Camaro5 to allow discussions to carry on
ad nauseum is somewhat unique. It takes a lot to get banned here. After all, they still let you post here despite my ban requests

That's oversimplifying it. You can enjoy prodigious torque, you can enjoy balance, you can enjoy engagement, you can enjoy grip, and you can enjoy these things below the performance limits of the car. Will you experience the maximum performance of
any car on the street vs a track? No, of course not.

This is exactly what he's saying but I disagree. If you can go WOT for a quick blast, you can take a 240-degree descending off-ramp under throttle. You can toss the car into tight S-turns. You can lane-change in a split-second to avoid road debris. You use handling everyday. To say you can use 700hp but not great handling is ridiculous.

Of course it's not a total package car, but some (newmoon and rocket403) would lead you to believe that Hellcats drive WOT throttle everywhere they go all day long and everyone should only want to go fast in a straight-line. I feel largely about the Hellcat as I did the last GT500. Excellent engine in search of a chassis. I've said it a hundred times, the problem with the Dodge twins was never lack of power...
