Get a usb flash drive, have your son put all your music on it, plug it in to the usb inside the arm rest, and it should play just like a cd, only with a thousand songs instead of 10.
..... just forget the idea of finding a particular song, let it play and enjoy.

I don't think I'd have any problem with the copying procedure itself. But the volume of effort required would be a different matter entirely. I quit updating a spreadsheet list of what I did have at somewhere north of 500 CDs. My son lives in a Kenworth anyway, so if it could ever get done at all it's going to have to be by me.
It's mainly on trips where I'll play CDs, so I can listen to what I want to listen to (or what fits the driving situation better). If I've got my mind set on listening to the Scorpion's "Pure Instinct" album, I probably wouldn't be interested in hearing any John Denver or Ricky Nelson, and vice-versa. Around town a few miles at a time, I just leave it on FM. I don't see that changing.
