My son has suggested this sort of thing to me, without realizing how difficult it would be for me to actually operate it in the car. Even stopped, it'd be a PITA to have to put the reading glasses on in order to read whatever display and scroll through some list or menu. Six CD's in the box and I'm going to need to make a pit stop for me before they all get played. Swap the stuff that's already played then.

I recall back in the 60's my dad was showing his dad how you can preset your radio stations by pulling the button out, then back in..... "Well. ain't that sumpthin, what will they think of next?"
Get a usb flash drive, have your son put all your music on it, plug it in to the usb inside the arm rest, and it should play just like a cd, only with a thousand songs instead of 10.
..... just forget the idea of finding a particular song, let it play and enjoy.
