In a lot of ways, I'm glad it never happened because Pontiac died out...which it needed to do. That being said, I've often wondered how well this car would have sold had they re-badged it as a Chevy Camaro...

This ^ The GTO hit about the exact same time as the retro S197 mustang. say what you will about the mustang, but the retro styling is what really made it a success. The GTO had no chance to compete sales wise.

on topic of the GN, IF it were to come back, wouldn't it essentially just be a ATS-V coupe in Buick form?
