not really. three of the biggest player in the business, Toyota, Honda, and Nissan, have never offered anything more than 5/60. 100k power train warranties is more of a gimmick companies that have had checkered pasts with reliability use to lure customers back. by dropping it GM is more or less saying they have enough confidence in what they're building that they don't need to guarantee it all the way out to 100k
