Welcome to all the newbies and

so some we don't hear from often! Went to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the NASCAR events. We camped out in a rented travel trailer that was really nice! Small but efficient! The Saturday Xfinity Series was great, but the Sunday Sprint Cup race was so damp we went to Wild Wing and watched it on TV! Good fun though.

We're really missing our average high of 60, don't think we've made it there more than once or twice. C'mon Daytona Bike week!

The first one we tried to capture the cracks in the ice in the lower basin. Its hard to tell but that ice is about a foot thick so you can tell how strong the force of the water is there.
The second picture is the Maid of the Mist boats in winter dry dock
The third picture we were trying to capture the volume of ice that is building up around the American Falls
The fourth picture is me and my wife Jackie
The fifth and sixth pictures were taken from the Canadian side of the falls. In the fifth picture you can see how much ice builds up in the railings near the Horse Shoe falls. The sixth picture shows how much ice build up there is on the American falls. It was way easier to see it from the Canadian side.

My journey to the next town would normally be about 35 minutes but it took 1 and 1/2 hrs doing about 30 miles per hr in white out conditions , could barely see the car ahead of me . I felt like an ice cube in snow as I am driving a white full size all wheel drive Chevy Express Van . When I got to the town the road closed sign was up in the opposite lane and I found out they closed the road behind me . perfect timing .So on Saturday while at the cottage I decided to clean off the roof on my garage and cottage roof on my driveway side , and clean it up with my tractor. So I pull off the snow with the roof rake a couple of feet , go to start up the tractor and look to see the dead man switch was left on by me two weeks ago when I pulled it into the garage and drained the batteries ugh !!! get the chargers out for a couple of hrs .So this morning I could clean up the mess I made yesterday just a day late.

I have to agree with Ruby. I don't think I could be mentally sound in a place that gets that much snow..........

My dad is getting skinnier & skinnier. He seemed to know who I was today & I even heard him say my name & my sisters name when he was trying to talk to me. I have no idea what he was trying to say about us as the rest of the sentence made no sense. He was trying hard to carry on a conversation but just can't quite complete a whole sentence without losing his train of thought or being unable to formulate his words/thoughts coherently. Mike tried to take a couple of pics of me with dad but I look terrible in one (chin pulled back trying to snuggle up close to him looks like I have 3 chins) & his eyes are closed in the other. I'll swallow my pride & post up both of them.
Mike's parents seemed okay today but his dad keeps getting increasingly feeble.
It was drizzly/rainy all day but got up all the way to 50 degrees. Felt almost like swimming weather after how cold it has been.

Photos of your dad's place look familiar. I had to really pare my mom's stuff down so she wouldn't fall and hit things. It's tough!
