We started out with an Uppababy Mesa infant seat that worked really well for the first year, daughter is 15 months old now and too tall for that seat so we recently upgraded to Recaro Performance Ride seats. To be honest I don't like them quite as well as the Uppababy, but they're still great seats with a lot of room to grow.
Test fitted both rear facing and forward facing in the back of the Camaro, works fine and still able to latch the passenger seat back and fit a adult there.
Spend the extra couple bucks and get the "performance" series over the older "pro" models, the Hero harness system alone is worth the price difference.
