Reviewed game films from both Conference title games over last couple nights (yes I know I have a problem) and I think instead of wondering if/how Patriots let air out of balls that were meaningless I would focus on how in the world Seattle QB Russell Wilson was allowed back in the game after that atrocious and ILLEGAL hit by Packers LB Matthews.
Wilson was clearly very confused and unbalanced after that hit and it was not until the late 4th quarter that he seemed to get a handle on himself. Maybe Seattle tested him on sideline (I have no idea, not much time before Seattle got ball back and limited sideline camera views) but to me on film he did not look like he should have been on a football field. That's dangerous.
Ballsy ass kid though, he fought it all off and came up very big.
Before you freak that I am a Patriots homer, I would point out this also happened with Ben Rothlisberger (spelling?) in the wild card game vs Ravens. That guy was F'd up big time and Steelers didn't even do a check, that much was clear on abundant sideline film.
