Without seeing VBOX output overlayed on video and GM vouching for it, I personally wouldn't quote it. In dry conditions it might be accurate, who knows. So many variables with Nurburgring times. Why I prefer to see cars compared in Lightning Lap as the testing methodologies are at least consistent.

Oh wait, there is nothing official about ANY of these 'ring "times". They're all just, in a sense, heresay. And anyone who puts any weight in any of these times is trying to ice-skate uphill.
Which is why, like you, I much prefer to see the Lightning Lap Times. It's a well overseen test where variables are kept to a minimum.
It also helps to have them on a track that most of us actually have access to.
