I totally disagree with driving the same brand is boring. I've been driving mostly Chevys for the last 46 years and never been bored with the brand. I have had one Ford and only kept it two weeks.....
To each their own, but I like every make, model, genre, brand, etc. of cars and want to experience all ends of the spectrum. Sticking to one brand for 50 years isn't going to let me do that. I'm extremely content with my '12 SS right now and don't plan on being in the market again for a while, but I still have a long list of (reasonable) cars I'd like to get my hands on at some point. Maybe I'd buy another Camaro, maybe not. It would honestly depend on the circumstance and what's best for me at the time. I'm one of those people that, when buying a new car, compares every last bolt, makes spreadsheets, gathers a million reviews, etc....the whole deal, so I would compare all my options side by side and decide what fit is best for me. If it's another Camaro at that time, then so be it, but no doubt the thought sits in the back of my mind that I have already owned one at some point, and whether the one I'm looking at is different enough to pull the trigger.

I can't really comment on the probability of owning an 85 Camaro when they were new because I wasn't even born yet, but I can say that if I had owned, say a 2002 SS, I probably wouldn't own a Camaro right now. I like to experience new things and change it up a bit, like I said.

Same goes for any car. My DD is a WRX, and more than likely I'm not going to buy another WRX when I move on. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the best cars I've ever driven through and through and a complete blast to own, but if I just buy straight WRXs for the next 30 years, then I'd never know what it's like to own an EVO, Focus ST, Focus RS, etc. Just my personal preference, I guess.
