If the Zora is going to happen, and that's still a big if, I would be very surprised to see it being n/a. Twin turbos or a supercharger are much more likely.
That leaves GM developing a one off Z/28 engine and that won't happen.

The difference in price between a 1LT Z51 ($59,995) and base Z06 ($78,995) is $19,000. Not really that close but I don't see that as the problem with getting a NA Z06. The problem is that C7 gained weight! In order to build a new Z06 that could outperform the old, 650 HP was needed and they apparently couldn't build a NA engine at the power level.
The recent VIR lap shows the new Z06 is fast so even if it loses a 1/2 second on later laps, its still much faster than the old car. Perhaps the answer for those that crave a NA C7 track Corvette is the Z51.
