The Zora has been rumored for some time, a respected member of Camaro5 said months ago that vendors were already sourced and we've just seen a spy photo of an mid engine mule. Strongly suggests that we will see the Zora. I also think that those spy photos were deliberately allowed to temper yesterdays Ford GT reveal.

I'm not saying GM doesn't have the ability to make a new n/a LT engine but I am saying I don't believe they will. With the Z51 and Z06 being priced reasonably close, there is no room for another model between them. That would leave a higher end car and that would need to be more powerful car.
If the Zora is going to happen, and that's still a big if, I would be very surprised to see it being n/a. Twin turbos or a supercharger are much more likely.
That leaves GM developing a one off Z/28 engine and that won't happen.
