Forgive me for not knowing but............
IIRC, a turbo has an abrupt power curve because you have to wait for the exhaust to be generated, then fed back to spool the turbo. Superchargers give you perhaps less power, but more linear power, at the cost of torque. I imagine a supercharger produces a more pleasing power curve and better low end response, without any lag associated with turbos.
My question is...how much displacement is needed to justify a supercharger setup over a turbo? Could there be a high displacement 6 (like a 4.8 liter) with a supercharger?
