What he is suggesting is very typical of weight loss diets in general, always eat your protein, restrict starchy carbs and processed foods, and practice calorie tapering/timing, it states it is a rapid weight loss plan but if you listen very carefully at one point he sneaks in that he "knows the rapid loss is water weight". I think he is trying to use the quick weight loss, even though water weight, as a motivational tool so people will stick with it but all he is suggesting is restricting cals and eating clean. Nothing new.
