The same thing happened when the V6 was transplanted over from the old CTS when the 5th gens first came out. They used the old ratings from the CTS, but when they recertified it for the Camaro it gained power due to a different arrangement.

Good points. Significant is that the LT4 is being put directly into another car without detuning to protect Corvette. Any losses appear to be incidental
