Well I started working the summer between 8th and 9th grade. Basically full time in the summers, and part time during the school years. I ended up saving up about $17,000 by the end which was supposed to go toward college but I got a full ride so my parents allowed me to blow it on a car. Got another $6K from graduation and my parents put in around $5k to finish it off. So I usually just say I bought it so I don't have to explain that to everyone haha
