The heat issues is surprising given the level of experience GM already had with FI, testing that was done to validate the LT4 and the intention of the Z06 as a track weapon. The minute a smaller displacement, higher revving blower was proposed, the technical issues with cooling were known.
Something doesn't add up. GM surely knew exactly how this car would perform when it hit the track. If it can't be cooled, is a bigger blower and power-bulge hood in the future? I'm waiting to see more of this story unfold
