Well, a few things ot note-
This occurred in BC, so I am unfamiliar with Canada's laws regarding this.

In the US, this might go down very differently.
Based on my experiences with US law as an LEO, I can say this, even though it doesn't really apply...

The FB post is to the official police/ticket page so the officers involved would not be personally liable assuming this is legal in BC.

Usually as long as no intentional damage or negligence is involved, the owner of the impounded vehicle is responsible for any and all damages occurring during towing and impound storage.

Personally, I would have explained to the owner that due to the lowered stance of the lambo, it would not fit on the tow truck and that I would need to drive it to the impound lot. I would then call my watch commander and go on vacation for 7 days.
