Ford, to my knowledge, has never offered a flat plane crank V8 before. This engine is completely bespoke to this car as is everything from the A pillar forward. They may have been developing it for a few years to get longevity tests done but that costs a lotta money so its probably more expensive to build. With the entire car, from the A pillar forward, being new and bespoke to this car I do not see costs being kept down too well but I'll bet it comes between a ZL1 and a Z/28 in terms of price.
