Prior to this change there was no red light at the top of the accent panel. This puts a clear area at the top accent line and the edge of the panel against the door. In some light you can see through the panel area where the paint has been removed from the back of the accent panel. This also allows more of the accent light to shine through, but not be to distracting at night.

Sorry for the amateur video wanted to try this and share it.
