You unlock hard mode after you beat the boss on normal mode. And hard mode
Is exactly that. After switching from normal to hard, your stats aren't too much higher and a lot of enemies will wipe the floor with you. But that's the part of the challenge. At my level only the super bosses give me any difficulty. It's the weapons and ability perks that really make the difference.
