Sweden Rock 2007 CD (digital blows) I was security director for Point Blank and this massive show was part of their first ever (it took FORTY years for them to play Europe) tour of Europe. Their FIRST Euro gig was for 150,000 people. Cool, huh?
Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath with vocalist Ronnie Dio) was there. I spent some time with the late Ronnie Dio when he joined us for some Frisbee tossing. His passing was more than a loss for the music world. He was one of the kindest men I've ever met. Tony Iommi was a pretty laid back fellow himself.
Got the turntable cued-up with a sweet import first-edition pressing of Hendrix's Electric Ladyland. Played through tube powered equipment, on quality turntable, and using proper speakers, it's magnificent. I DO NOT DIG DIGITAL. I'd rather listen to a nice analog monophonic vinyl recording, before any screeching digital crap.
