yep we are about the same 980 miles from Fogarty Creek State Park in Oregon, and we are already planning the trip, getting together with our local astronomy club, and I have a co-worker who is also into astronomy whose parents live in Lincoln Beach and have offered to put us up for a few days..

Path of Totality @ Fogarty Creek is supposed to be 1 minute 15 seconds, the longest for this eclipse..

Hopefully it works out, as the next total eclipse for this part of the U.S.A. isn't until around 2093..
