I wouldn't be to sure about that. Even at current power levels if gm can drop weight it will be as fast or faster then the 5.0.

Maybe you only care about drag racing but that in no way is what the 1le was built for and you know that. Sorta like comparing lap times of a top fuel car and time slips of a Indy car then complaining.
