Full thickness tear of my right superspinatus. I'm 30 years old.

Had surgery May 1st 2014. Back working full duty as a LEO October 1st 2014.

Get an ice machine, they type that pumps the ice water thru it, helps a lot. sleeping sucks for a month or two, but the months go by quickly. 4-6 weeks post op you can get rid of the big pillow under the sling, another few weeks and you can use the sling when needed. Youre arm wont move much for the first few months, but once it starts movin, progress starts coming quick.

I torn mine in Sept 2013 but going thru workmans comp sucks. I was actually able to lift weights a couple months after I got hurt and really got my shoulder strong pre surgery. I think that helped the first month since the RC had some support around it.

Be patient, get massages when you can, and you'll be back in no time. Dr Prickett in AZ is very well known around here for being a badass shoulder surgeon. Find a good Doc.

good luck
