The GT/GT500 are steering towards sports car with their track packs, and the Camaro seems to be stuck somewhere in the middle. As described to me by someone who owns both- "The GT500 is the monster sports car, the SRT cant touch it. BUT the SRT is a muscle car, and there is nothing like the feeling of a real one. "
For me its that burly, rough around the edges, man machine that I found out I love in college. Yea I love modern sports cars, but this isnt an expensive fillet and crown royal, its beer, onion rings and hotdogs .... And sometimes, those are better.

Great analogy. Unfortunately that beer, onion rings and hot dog combo come with a filet and crown royal price tag. Otherwise my hubby would be driving one today. Can't wait to have the 'maro and the Chally in the garage together so we can fight about who's driving what. That's a win-win situation.
