A probable explanation is the test car was a loaded Z06 with the Z07 performance package and its mandatory Level-3 aero body package... therefore huge amounts of downforce, grippier Sport Cup 2 tires, and again lots of downforce... which can affect the 1/4 mile top end speed trap results.
IIRC, GM previously stated: "
With this package, the Corvette Z06 delivers the most aerodynamic downforce of any production car that GM has ever tested."
