I have to agree with OP. I am in the process of picking a car, and it is really up in the air between the Camaro & the FR-S (specifically the FRS, not the BRZ. If you want to know why, PM).

After test driving both, the power difference is huge. But so is the aesthetic & the handling. The FRS has far superior handling to the camaro, and an amazing connection it gives the drive to the road, but is disappointing when you come around that corner fast and can't do anything except go *putt putt* until you reach cruising speed. The camaro on the other hand, is disappointing because you feel limited by the car - that you can do more than the car is capable of.

At this point, I think I will go Camaro for two reasons. I am too young to fully appreciate the value of FRS; it is a refined, drivers car. Not a fun machine. Also, because the Camaro offers more luxury and out-of-the-box power, which is nice as I do not intend to mod. (except maybe a CAI, a couple bolt ons, upholstery work, a wide body kit, wheels, tires, ect...)
