I agree that a strong competent chassis will not be ultra lite weight unless more expensive materials are used but you can look at the ATS cars for a preview of the weight possibilities that the team is working with.

If he was just stating that a Cadillac on Alpha chassis will gain weight with a V8 drivetrain then that's about as useless and as obvious of a post as saying the sky is going to turn black at night.
He was quoting a person basically saying that the Cadillac lost weight when moving to a Alpha platform and the Camaro should do the same and you can look at the current ATS weights for a general idea of what the Camaro might weigh. Of course a V8 6th gen Camaro V8 is going to weigh more than a ATS 4cylinder.
