Again...of course its going to be a weight gain. That 3,400 chassis you mentioned is about what a "stripper" (like any Cadillac is stripped lol) ATS V6 weighs. Of course a V8 and accompanying drivetrain is going to add weight.
Think somewhere in the 3,650 to 3,750 lb range for the base V8 model.
