The economy isn't what it was 15 years ago. Going to college nowadays should not be the "expectation" it once was. It's still for some. It's not for everyone.

THIS. College for Americans seems to still be an expectation (Im from Iowa lived there til I was 20) a lot of my friends are finishing college or have finished, only to still be second guessing what they want to do or to try their luck with the career choice and decide they dont like it.
If you're going to go to school make sure you know it wont be a waste. I still have no clue what I really want to do and I'm 24, had I gone to college Id probably be $40-80K in debt for nothing.
I did an 8 week EMR (EMT equivalent for the US) course and I make $350/day plus pocket $50 extra for LOA lol honestly love it minus the short days off (EMTs make $500/day and Paramedics 600-800/day)
So just because you don't go to college doesnt mean you cant find something you enjoy and/or something to pay you a decent wage!
