imo the it looks exactly the same to the previous z06 minus the rims. gm should have just stuck with the zr1 now their just over killing the corvette like ford has done with the mustang

Nope, the ZR1 is another car added to the lineup that's all. No Z06 deletion, yet. It's priced pretty high up there, too (~100,000) so it won't be seen everywhere. And it competes
directly with the exotics like Ferrari and Lamborghini somthing the Z06 had to strech to do.
It could do it, just not as easily as the ZR1.
There are a few key differences between the two cars, though.
1: FORD, hasn't been bastardizing the Mustang to badly; it's all the aftermarket companies, like Saleen (puke) that don't have any other pony cars to work on.
2: The Mustang has 50,000,000 different copies out there, all with a few different distortions, where as the Corvette now has
3 from GM.
3: Most of the differences between the Mustang and all its copies is purely appearance-driven...whereas the Corvette has an ALL-new powertrain that is out-of the-world-powerful.
4: Finally, the Corvette is allowed to do whatever it wants to do and expect people to like it...because it's a Corvette.
