That generation is a special breed indeed and it makes me sad to think that any of them who make it this far in life have to struggle over silly things like money or the government. You work hard your whole life and make it past 70, you should be able to do whatever you want without worry. Let the young ones like me worry and sweat over the details.

This is my Fiance's Grandpa just a few weeks ago.
The stories he tells from WWII are amazing.
Far better than watching any history channel show about it.

My Grandma is 75 and is still working a 45 hour a week job. That lady is 4' 11" tall and 80lbs and she is as tough as anyone I know. Loves to ride on our Harleys, goes almost every weekend to the track with us and carries a .38+P. I remember as a kid coming home from school and her climbing a 45 foot tree to retrieve our kite. (She was 65 then) She is a cancer survivor and will likely out live me the way things are going.
This picture is her over 10 years ago now but she is still as tough.

Just hard working, never quiet, tough, no BS kind of people they are.
I don't describe many people in my generation that way. (I'm 26)

I recently caught a lot of flak from family members because I nominated her for the Ice Bucket Challenge. They said it was mean and they were worried about her having a heart attack.

I said she was mad at them all for not including her in the fun and if any of them think a silly bucket full of ice water is gonna take her down, they don't know Grandma.
