It can't launch 640 hp now. If it can't out dig the GT-R, 911 Turbo, and Huracon it will still be called a "fail." Even by the Viper (semi) faithful.
Will it be DCT/Lightning-fast Auto?
The people who can afford the above cars prefer autos - sales figures don't lie.

It's already, unfortunately, dead. It either goes away, again, for good or it comes back like the original - a car that 1 in 5 will get totaled and half get wrecked.
The critics will poo-poo it no matter the direction the Viper takes.
