Limiting factor with all the cars the big 3 are making and have made is the trans torque rating, I guess Ford will need to develop a trans like the ZF8 or get the ZF8 to move forward with an high hp Auto Mustang. I don't know if they have one or if there is one in development.
My friend built a 84 Hurst Olds powered by a 425 Rocket it took out 2 th400 trans before it could be built strong enough to take the torque from that engine.
