Excitement to me goes in hand with rarity and performance. I would be very excited to see a Z28 because I've never seen one, even though I'd never own one. A C7 pulling up next to me doesn't even get a glance anymore. I see more of them than I do SS Camaro's. I'd turn my head more at a 1LE. If I saw a Z06 on the road I'd have to chase it down to drive behind it for a few miles.
I have both, I also have people stop me to take pics of the Z28 every time I drive it, at shows the car has tons of people around it, the corvettes do not have very many like the Z28 does. There is a reason they are $75k the brakes and shocks are very expensive. I would bet that the Z06 for $79k the CC brakes are a option.
