Dave...respectfully...there were journos there, that day, that walked out of their flip-flops, the launch area was so sticky. Watch the video from there. The guys on the line don't slip; they walk deliberately. The launch pad is CONCRETE...but it's fairly evenly BLACK...and there's wisps of "something" to the edges. Right?
