Well for one, design is completely subjective so that's not a valid argument. There are people out there who think the Camaro is the ugliest POS on the planet. Just sayin'.

As for enthusiast following, that only gets you so far. Like I said, enthusiast wet dreams typically don't appeal to the buying public (aka where volume/profit is).

And in case you haven't noticed, consumers have very clearly voted with their wallets in favor of sedans. Hence the reason Chevrolet offers zero coupes outside Camaro/Corvette, Hyundai just killed the Elantra Coupe, Toyota killed the Camry Solara, etc.
