Honoring Factory Warranty When Car Driven on Track?
I know Chevy has said, and put it into print, that they will warranty certain cars if driven on the track/drag strip (Obviously not in competitive events). Our ZL1s are one of these cars. It took balls and faith in the quality of it's product for Chevy to do that. It was part of my buying decision. Kudos to GM.
I know Ford and Nissan void your warranty if you track your car. I understand it from a business sense, but it is hypocritical to build a "race car" and then not let buyers stretch it's legs at a track. BMW doesn't say one way or another about track work, but they really push their track abilities. I never had problems with them honoring a repair, despite the fact that I tracked my M3s.
Has Dodge said anything about how they plan to handle the Hellcat's warranty and driving on a track?
