As for your reaction ? It's good that you kept it calm, if you so much as show that gun you become part of the problem, like it or not. Permit or not, threatening someone with that thing is still against the law. We all love our cars and don't want anything to happen to it, but let's remember that it is just a car ( don't shoot me ). What I am saying here is : it's not your child, wife, husband, etc. you cannot use deadly force to safeguard it. It can be replaced, you cannot. There are screwed up people out there as we are seeing every day, a piece of gum is not worth dieing over.

You completely hit the nail on the head. Most abhorrent behavior you see from young kids to young adults comes from a LACK OF PARENTING!! Kids are being raised not to respect anything. Things are given to them without doing anything to earn them so they have no concept of value or pride of ownership. Their parents don't make them accountable for their actions in and out of school or in the home. We are seeing a new generation of selfish, inconsiderate heathens whose behaviors reflect their parents' lack of values and discipline.
